TO END THE PRESENT CRISIS
On. Tuesday night at the Masonic Hall, The Terrace,' Mr. C^ "W. Clift, president of the New Zealand Branch of the British-Israel-World Federation, gave a lecture upon "The Present Economic Crisis, Its Origin and Duration as seen in the Prophecies of the Bible and the Great Pyramid.',' , The speaker drew attention to the, crash of empires in the recent Great War, in accordance with Biblical prophetic chronology, which gave the period 1917-1936 for the expiration of the Times of the Gentiles. At the close of this period Israel (Britain) wasto take up her official position of "Billing with God." The Great Pyramid had accurately indicated May 30, 1928, as the beginning of the- present economic crisis. It also indicated that the crisis would last until September 16, 1936. We could end the depression, said Mr.. Clift, simply by returning to the Law Of the Lord. This return involves a revision of our laws of -land tenure (Leviticus, eh. 25); the institution of the-year of release for debtors (Deut. eh. 15); the elimination of usury (Deut. eh. 23); also a return to the Israelitish system of tithing, a law which, governed ntitural production (see Malachi 3). If we failed to return to the Law of the Lord, He would order coming events so as to compel that return by September 16, 1936.
