ELECTRICITY SUPPLY
GRID SYSTEM IN BRITAIN
SUBSTANTIAL PROGRESS
(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, March 30. The Central Electricity Board's report shows an increase of over 7 per cent, last year in the generation pf electricity by public supply systems. Britain, now occupies third place in tho world production of electricity. Despite the deprossion, domestic and commercial electrification continuos to make substantial progress. Tho cost of constructing the grid is estimated at about £26,700,000. It comprises approximately 3000 miles, of primary transmission lines operated1 at 132,000 volts and about 1000 miles of secondary lines operated at 66,000 or lower voltage. ;
