FOREST CONSERVATION
TO HELP UNEMPLOYED
(Received April 1, 2 p.m.) WASHINGTON, March 31. President Roosevelt on Friday made his forest conservation employment programme law by signing the Bill, while departmental officials rushed to make ready for enlisting thousands of jobless men in the cities. The President also signed the Copeland Cellar Medicinal Liquor Bill, removing restrictions on the amount of alcohol doctors may prescribe.
