LONG TRAIL MINE REPORT.
The mine manager's report of work on the Long Trail Gold Mining Company's mine, for week ending March 25, states that owing to wet weather progress of work has been retarded and.no ore1 delivered to-battery during* the week. No. 1 reef, 100 ft level: Reef is 2ft wide in.the, back; the quartz broken looks very well and' has improved in value; (jiving a fair prospect in the dish when, pounded. No. 2 leader east drive advanced a further 16ft, and leader has changed its course more: easterly, which will expedite inters secting of junction with No. 3 leader. Ore broken varied from 2 to 14 inches wide, was of consistent value, and is paddocked ready to deliver to the battery. No. 2 leader west drive is now out 52ft, making 12ft for the week. .Ore .has. been highgrade for full distance. ;No. 3 leader intermediate'drive advanced to 60ft, making lift for week. Leader is eight inches wide. The. ore has been paddocked for treatment. It prospects very well. The mine is now producing ore in larger quantities,: andt providing transport facilities are available, the battery can be kept running continuously. ■'•■'*■'
