TO PICTON ON EASTER
MONDAY
I The ferry steamer Rangatira (/ 6152 tonil, will run one of her popular 'day excursions to Picton on Easter Monday. She will leave the wharf at Wellington at 8 a.m., and with her * speed of about 22 knots she ought to reach Picton by about half-past 10. For.those who want to go. on to Blenheim a special train will be provided by-the Railway Department, and it will leave Picton directly after the Rangatira arrives, returning again in time for the passengers to re-embark for the trip home. There will be attractions at Picton for the excursionists, including special launch trips to some of the beauty spots of the upper part of the Sound, where in some cases lunch will be available at the accommodation houses, or hot water , will be provided. The Rangatira is timed to leave Picton on her return trip at 2.30 p.m., and should be-back in Wellington shortly after 5 p.m.
