COURT OF APPEAL
Argument was not concluded yesterday in the case in which Wool-worths' (N.Z.), Ltd., are appealing against a decision of Mr. Justice Smith in favour of Charltou Greenway Dawson and Bertram Kendal Dawson, of Auckland, and the Court of Appeal adjourned until Monday. The appeal is based on the National Expenditure Adjustment Act, the appellants, when the Act caino into force, deducting 20 per cent, from the rent of £1740 they were then paying the respondents. Their right to do this, was contested, it being argued on behalf of the respondents, that the rent was a fair one. taking into consideration the nature of the premises.
