RUGBY; March 21. The conversations between Mr. Ramsay MacDonald and Sir John Simon and Messieurs Daladier and Paul Boncour continued throughout the morning and afternoon at the British . Embassy in Paris. The French Ministers also remained there to lunch.
A statement issued at Paris this «veiling said: "The British Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary stopped in Paris on their way from Rome in order to acquaint the French Premier and Foreign Minister wit** the nature of their conversation* with Signor Mussolini. The British and French Ministers had a Drolonged exchange of views: The French Ministers thanked their colleagues for the information which they furnished and which will enable them to proceed to a closer study of the proposals put before them. They will communicate further with each other without delay. The French Ministers affirmed their desire to see established in the interests of peace within the framework, and in the spirit of the League of Nations a loyal co-operation between the four European Powers who are permanent members of the Council of the League of Nations." Mr. MacDonald and Sir John Simon are returning to London tomorrow, and on Thursday the Premier will make a statement in the House of Commons during a debate on international affairs.
