MOERA CLUB'S MEETING

The Moera Rugby Football Club held its fifth annual' meeting last week. Mr. H. Baldwin presided over a fair attendance.

.The report and balance-sheet were adopted. The club had a good season from the playing aspect, the teams finishing well up in the championships. Two members gained places in the third grade representative team.

The balance-sheet showed that the finances of the club were not as good as might have been desired owing to the prevalence of unemployment, and, in referring: to this matter, the president urged the players to keep. together and thereby keep the club going. He thanked the ladies and the' members of the social committee for their .excellent work.

. The election of officers resulted:—Patron, Mr. W. Nash,-M.P.; president, Mr. H. Baldwin; additional' vice-presidents, Messrs. Wilson, Joe Hamill, Thomas, Henry, and Murray; lion, secretary and treasurer, Mr. B. Benjamin; club captain, Mr. L. Moran; vice-club captain, Mr. J. Brown; management committee, Messrs. Tringman, Harris, Sinclair, Norman, Cosgrove, Crutch, and Jones; trustees, Messrs. Moran and Dunn; auditors, Mrs. Baldwin and Mr. Gardiner.

The meetings was addressed by Mr. J. Prendeville, chairman of the Management Committee of the Wellington Rugby Union, and Mr. S. E. Neilson (secretary). It was decided to enter four teams if sufficient players are offering—two third grade teams, and fifth and seventh grade teams.
