NEW YOBK, March 20.

At the State Prison at Earford, Florida, Giuseppe Zangara, who on February 16 at Miami fired a bullet which resulted in the death of Anton Cermak, Mayor of Chicago, was electrocuted.

Before taking the chair Zangara in broken English declared that he had no fear of the consequences. He handed the Superintendent' a sheaf of papers with the words: "Here is the book I have been writing. I am not afraid." From the chair he inquired if there was no cameraman to take a picture of the proceedings, and when told there was none, exclaimed: "Lousy capitalists, bunch of crooks."

His last words' as the metal cap was fixed were: "Good-bye, adios to all the world."

He was pronounced dead twelve minutes after the electricity had been applied.
