L'nlted Press' Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. • (Received March 17, 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. 'i Thirteen survivors of tho Kinsen Maru were rescued at midnight by the Hide Maru, one of the search ships. A wireless message to that effect was sent by the captain of the Hide Maru to the Deputy-Director of Navigation for Queensland. It was meagre information, adding only that tho Kinsen Maru sank at one .in the morning on Tuesday, roughly 403 miles east of Mackay. " ' A second wireless message read: — "Second boat not been sighted yet." This indicates that the survivors have given information concerning at least one of the other boats with the crew.

The shipping authorities have not given up hope of finding the crew, which- numbered thirtyeight, all Japanese.
