ANNUAL MEETING
! The annual meeting of the New Zealand Obstetrical Society (New Zealand branch of the British Medical Association) ' was held in Wellington yesterday. It was decided to award a medal annually and a prize of three guineas to the member of the society contributing the best original article on. a phase of. obstetrical work occurring in his or her practice in Npw. Zealand. Professor J, Bernard Dawson, of the Otago Medical School, delivered an address on "Present and Future Relations in New Zealand vof the Doctor and Midwife." The following office-bearers were appointed:—President, Dr. Irving, Christchurch; vice-president. Dr. Tracy Inglis, Auckland; registrar, Dr.. Sylvia Chapman; honorary treasurer, Dr. W. P. Gordon, Stratford; honorary secretary, Dr. Doris Gordon, Stratford. Professor Dawson was appointed an ex officio member of the executive, and Dr. T. F. Corkill, Wellington, was appointed special ofticer to represent the society in' matters with which the Health Department may be connected. . -: '
