MORTGAGEE IN THE DARK
The need for some rule "-at mortgagees should be notified when the rates are, say, two years overdue, was mentioned by Councillor "W. Appleton 8t last night's meeting of the City Council. In one instance the Tates had not been paid for five years, but this was not known by the mortgagee. Notification of such positions, said the- Mayor (Mr. T. C. A. Hislop), was given, as a rule, to the mortgagees. fie would see if it could not be made • routine matter.
