BUTTER RESTRICTION

CANBERRA, March 15,
The butter levy, consequent on the 6 per cent, restriction of ' exports to Britain was finally fixed at a halfpenny per pound as originally announced yesterday.
It is contended that the value of Australian butter'will be enhanced by £3,600,000. Mr. Stanley Bruce, Resident Minister in London, has advised the Federal Cabinet that the restriction plan should force the wholesale price of butter in England to 100 shillings per cwt. .
