JAMIESON'S DOUBLE
MIRAMOND: PANJANDRUM
(From "Vedette.")
SYDNEY, March 10. Jamieson's luck took a turn on the second.day of the V.R.C. Meeting on Wednesday, when, he picked up two races with Miramond and Panjandrum, the latter now having won. three races on end in Melbourne.
. Panjandrum started in the. Elms Handicap, a special race for three-year-olds run over a mile. He possibly was a trifle lucky to score, for . Maltdale, from G. Price's stable, when challeugmg hotly near the post, ran about, and suffered defeat by half a-head. ' ■-.-■■■• The Limond colt, Miramond, was -solidly backed in the second division of the Gibson Carmichael- Stakes, much of ■ the Panjandrum winnings being played up. The distance; seven furlongs, was just to the order of Miramond, who waited on the leaders to the turn and then won. going away by nearly two lengths in lmin 25% sec. Miramond. is now being talked about as a Derby colt, and this estimate may. not-be. far astray. ■
