IRISH OATH BILL
TURNED DOWN BY SENATE
MR. DE VALERA DIFFERS
(Received March 16, 2 p.m.)
DUBLIN, March 15. The Irish Free State Senate declined by 24 votes to 16 to pass the second reading of the Oath Bill, which it refused to consider pending negotiations between the Executive and the British Government with a view to an amicable settlement.
Mr.' de Valera is opposed to AngloIrish negotiations. The Constitution, provides for the legalisation of the Bill early in April, despite the Senate opposition.
