BIRD PROTECTION SOCIETY
A meeting of the general executive of tho New Zealand Native Bird Protection Society was held yesterday. Mr. R. A. Anderson, C.M.G., presided. A letter was received from the Public Trustee suggesting that the Treasury be advised whether the society agrees to the conversion of its Government stock. On the motion of the president, it was resolved to agree. It was stated that there seemed to be no way of avoiding compulsory loss one way or another.
It was resolved to hold the annual meeting on April 26. Messrs. Lawson and Goldie were appointed scrutineers to receive voting papers, which should be returned by April 24.
