Miss Mary Skerrett arrived in Wellington today by the Rangitane from England, and will spend about a month in New Zealand. She was accompanied by her nephew, Mr. Peter Compton.

Colonel the Hon. G. J. Smith and Mrs. Smith, and Mrs. Somerville Brown, arrived in Wellington this morning from Christehureh, and are staying at the Koyal Oak Hotel.

Mrs. Noel Nelson (Tinakori Road), Miss Cookson, and Mrs. Freeman (Christehureh) left this morning by car for a tour of the North.

Mrs. Lan Macßac, Masterton, will arrive in Wellington this week to stay with her mother, Mrs. Arthur Duncan, Murphy Street.

Sir Charles Clifford, who returned yesterday from Australia, and his sister, Mrs. Bruce Douglas, '' Glenesk,'' Greta, will bo in Wellington for the races this weekend.
