Dr. H. E. Mayo, of Great Yarmouth, England, arrived from Home by the Eangitane today on a world tour..Ha leaves by the Wanganella tomorrow for Sydney. - -
Captain A. C. Clayton, late of the Royal Sussex Regimentj. arrived from Home by the Bangitane today. He is an Aucklander and has been away from the Dominion since 1914. Captain Clayton was stationed on the Indian frontier in the Peshawar' district until eighteen months ago, when he retired from Army. He took part in the Kajuri operations in .that district, and acted as liaison officer with the Royal Air Force on the frontier. x
Mr. Joseph Salmon, a "director of Lyons and Co., Ltd., London,' accompanied by Mrs. Salmon and their son, arrived by the Bangitane from London today on a visit to Mr. and Mrs. Leo C. Bothseliild, Wellington. Mrs. Salmon, who is a sister of Mrs. Botnschild, was formerly Miss Eac Mandel and has been absent from New, Zealand "for twentytwo yeajs. - . .
Colonel the Hon. G. J. Smith. M.L.C., accompanied by Mrs. Smith, arrived this morning from the south.

Mr, P. J. S. Truscon, formerly of Messrs. Lever Bros., Petone, will leave for England early next month.
