COLLISION WITH LORRY

The road is fairly narrow in the vicinity, and in order to give the tram a clearance the driver of the lorry drew as near to the kerb as possible. In doing bo, however, the vehicle struck a telegraph pole, and the impact threw it across v Usl n ™es alld the tram collided with it. lhe undercarriage of the tram was strained a little, but apart from this no damage was done. Ifc took an hour to replace the tram on the rails.
