LIBERTY OF CITIZEN
COURTS ONLY BULWARK
JUDGE IN POLITICS
(Received February 17, 10 a.m.) CAPE TOWN, February 16. Judge Krausc, replying to tho congratulations of the Bar on hia elevation to ■ the Presidency of the Free State Bench, made a sensational attack on politicians. He said that tho Courts were: the only bulwark of the liberty of the citizen, in the present chaotic state of politics. Regulations prescribing rules of conduct for citizens were increasing alarmingly, and tho jurisdiction .of the Courts was being deliberately ousted. Legislators should realise that their first duty was to serve country, not party.
