THE POULTRY AMENDMENT BILL"

Some folk have laughed at this Bill, introduced into; the House some months ago :and still-remaining to bo passed. Tho pros, and cons have. been well thrashed but in the Press for the last two years. There'is no doubt whatever that commercial egg producers are as hard put to make ends meet as any- producers, and unless everyone urges tho passing of this Bill, there can bo little hope of co-operative organisation for better production;. The Bill does not Suggest any form, of control whatsoever but■■ it requires that the small producers should help-each other. To those who: have carefully read the contents of the Bill 'and are familiar with the poultry industry, this proposed system of organisation means a far better industry ;£or all concerned. In tho past it has been a case of what is everyone's business is nobody's. Mako sure that this Bill is passed, pay in your little 2s 6d if you are a seller of eggs and see the results. The Bill itself gives you the power to revert to tho old system if you do not liketho results.
