FUNERAL OF JOCKEY
The funeral of the apprentice jockey, Gerald Edwards, who met his death when Sub-station fell with him at Takanini last Thursday morning, took place on Friday afternoon, the body being interred at Waikaraka Cemetery. There were numerous wreaths, one being in the only colours the ill-fortuned lad had ridden in. All local racing bodies were represented among those attending the funeral, and the pall-bearers were J. Forsythe, A. Moore, C. Walters, B. Stewart, P. Mcllroy, and B. E. Pope.
