NAPIER'S WEEK OF JOLLITY
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NAPIER, This Day. Scenes of gaiety marked the closing of the "carnival on Saturday evening when a crowd estimated to number in the vicinity of 25,000, thronged the streets. There was ' a mask parade, which included over 2000 people headed by three bands. The weather was tine. At midnight "Auld Lang Syne" was. sung by thousands a fitting finale to a week of jollity.
