SALE OF WOOL

PRICES AT DUIxfEDIN

IMPROVEMENT MAINTAINED

CONTINENT ACTIVE

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, This Day. Continental buyers controlled the second series of Dunedin wool sales today, their limits being more elastic than those of Bradford, the latter's representatives being unable to compete. -- Following the improvement in values at Home, finer wools showed an advance in the prices of the last Dunedin sale, the rise also being increased by the difference in exchange. Values improved from l.d to 2d on all grades of fine wool. In some eases of outstanding quality the improvement was more marked. Crossbreds .were also very firm, especially for super quality showing any 'fineness, the advance registered being Jjl to Id on the December prices. Iv comparison with the prices for fleeces, phenomenal values were realised for necks, pieces, and bellies.- Li some instances the increase, specially for necks and super pieces, was about 2d a lb. up till luncheon. The top price realised was 13Jd per lb for ten bales of super Corriedale grown by the Coutts Brothers, of Palmerston, but this price may be exceeded when some special lots of merino wool are offered. ,
