Overcast weather and* a strong wind made conditions 'anything -.. but - pleasant when the fir.t round of interclub championship matches in the New Year was played at Miramav Tennis Grounds on Saturday afternoon. Only one first-divi-sion fixture was on the list, and in that Brougham Hill scored eight wins against the Newtown ladies. All the wins' were in straight sets save in one double. Mrs. H.
