HELP FOR THE BANDS.
The first function in aid of the _1 thousand shillings fund to send the A prade bauds to the national contest at Dunedin will take the form of a joy night at the Town Hall and Concert Chamber next Friday night. The co-operation of the Wellington Dance Baud Association has been readily given to the A grade bands for this joy night, and 26 expert musicians will provide the music." The Wellington Symphonic, Dance Orchestra will provide the music for the modern type of dancing in the large hall, and a splendid orchestra of twelve will provide the music in the small hall for the devotees of old-time dancing. "Fox-trot competitions and wand waltz competitions will be held, and .'will be judged by Miss Margaret O'Connor and Mr. J. Priestly, who will also give an exhibition of the latest dance steps.
