EVENTS AT AUCKLAND

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) - ~ JVUCKXiAND, 29th January. -A series of spectacular falls caused excitement -at the Western Springs Speedway last evening. Only one of the crashes proved serious, two riders being hurt. The teams' racing between sides captained by E. Langton and W. Phillips result-ed-in a win for Phillips's-team by 10 points to 7. ... The teams event showed the overseas riders to the greatest advantage, the skilled broadsiders working together with remarkable precision. Phillips, holder of the gold helmet, was challenged by N. Key, but retained his title without difficulty. He also made the fastest time of the evening, lmin 16 2-5 sec, and won six events.
