Friday's closing prices for the following raw materials were as follows, those for ?oth January being in parentheses:— Cotton.—Liverpool quotation, American middling upland, spot, 5.15 d per lb (5.25 d); February delivery, 4.89 d per lb (5.02 d) Rubber—Para, 4%d per lb (same); plantation smoked ribbed sheet, 2 5-32 d a lb (2 3-16 d). Jute.— January-February shipment, £14 12« 6d a ton (£l4 7s 6d). Copra.— Prices are nominal. FebruaryMarch shipment, South Seas, £12 17s 6d v « ton (£l3 2s 6d); plantation Rabaul, £13 • ton (£l3 ss). Linseed Oil.—£l7 15s a ton.(£18). Turpentine.—66s a cwt (66s 9d). Osmiridium. —Prices unchanged. —
