The annual picnic of the City Council, staff is being held, to-day at Day's Bay*] and though the weather this morning wasnot promising the 10.30 boat .was welK filled.' Others went round by bus and cars and at midday the picnic attendance was about five hundred. . Though light rain ' began to fall in the afternoon.the main ■■■< programme of sports and other*events' wmJ! not interfered with. The Mayor, Mr. Jffi; Cs A. Hislop/proposes to visit-Day's'Bajf; this afternoon.
