First-class croquet was seen this" I morning on the Kelburn Club's green in the semi-final of the handicap doubles, when Mrs. Ross and Miss' Gardi nor beat A. Ogier and Mrs. Henderson, 26-14. The match was very closely contested, Miss Gardner playing excellently under the guidance of Mrs. Ross. I Playing conditions wore not altogether, satisfactory, the. wind at times carrying.the balls across the boundary lines. At-midday rain interrupted play, and | the finals could not bo proceeded with immediately. Results are as follows: —, HANDICAP DOUBLES. Mrs, Ross and Miss Gardner beat A.
