THE EMERGENCY TAX
The question of the unfairness of the emergency tax for unemployment being placed upon the relief workers was considered by the Trades and Labour Council oil Thursday night, and it was agreed that representations be made to the Government to transfer the tax from the relief workers to the Consolidated Fund or some other source more able to bear it.
