(From "The Post's" Representative.) . ' LONDON, 15th December. Lpndon; says a member of the British Fashions and Fabrics Bureau is fast becoming the. world's best-dressed capital. Her restaurants, hotels, and clubs are filled at: night with women more elegantly gowned .than those of Paris or New York. ; While degression is growmg in Paris and visibly demonstrating itself in the clothes of French women London is becoming "' more cheerful, and confident. It is believed that Great Britain is on the threshold of a world revival of confidence, and that 1933 ' will so down in history as the post-war prosperity revival year. Among the many ,7oy-creating colours for next spring there will be sunshine, honeyflower sunkissed rose, goldfish, pumpkin popw?'- « "jo^^-'o-pearl, golden broom, butterfly-blue, lovebird-green, semibright brick, and dove-beige. Hats will be jaunty, and dresses will be of beautiful materials with classic lines expressing the new spirit of the agecheerfulness ( and light-heartedness Waxed satin will be an outstanding feature for evening wear; featherweight wool materials, artificial silks, and mixture fabrics for daytime. Tho long afternoon gowns will have detachable sleeves, thus rendering them suitable for both day and evening wear. The all-wool coat-frock dress of prewar days will bo an interesting and pleasing revival, specially helpful to tho wool textile trade. Buttons, large and small, of wood and metal, will be soon in abundance. Peathcr flowers will bo featured on many evening gowns, in pastel colours, either contrasting or harmonising with the material of the dress.
Capelets will continue to be a fashionablo detail, both for .iftornoon and ovening wear, borderod either with fur or silk fringe. Fabric designs will embrace checks, plaids, chevrons, her-ring-bones, honeycombs, rings, and spots—from pin-head to .half-crown in size! ■
