"FURTHER REDUCTIONS"
(To the Editor.) Sir,—Referring to the report in Friday's •Post" concerning the further reductions m the pay to relief workers, I should like to point out that so far as the single men in the Lower Hutt are concerned the figures are not correct. Starting again after the holidays on 9th January, all the single men received their starting slips for one and a half days' work, which was reduced to \me day, and all the single men have-got a starting slip for 16th January, which, is also marked for one day only, the pay being 7s 6d, averaging about Is a day.—l am, etc., , . ONE OF THE SINGLE MEN.
