AMATEUR ATHLETICS
Leading athletes of Canterbury and Wellington will be seen in action, at the Basin Reserve on Saturday, when the interprovincial contest will be staged. The Canterbury team is a strong one of- sixteen athletes, including holders of several j>rovincial arid national titles, and the Wei« lington team includes several of New Zealand's leading field and track performers. One of the star events will be the halfmile between T. G. Broadway (Canterbury) and W. Ogg, who were winner and ru*nner-up respectively at last year's national championships. There will be a full programme of scratch and handicap events. A grand parade of the* athletes will open the gathering.
