SUMMER WEATHER

LIKELY TO CONTINUE

Fine and warm to hot weather is expected to continue over most, of the Dominion, with mist, or fog, in places, particularly on the East Coast, according to the forecast issued at noon today. Variable light to moderate winds are expected, with south-easterlies prevailing north of Kawhia and Castlepoint. Some scattered rain is still likely in the eastern districts of the North Island, mainly between Hawkes Bay arid East Cape. ' : .

'Wellington had beautiful, warm summer's weather both on Saturday and yesterday. There,were 9.6 hours of sunshine on Saturday and 9 hours yesterday. A trace of rain fell during Saturday night and during yesterday a thick fog extended from, the harbour entrance along the eastern bays. The wind was mostly light, the direction being south-easterly. ■ ' Christehurch had a sunny day on Saturday, with a hot, dull night. Yesterday was sunny also, with a fresh east-north-east wind in the afternoon. At night there was some drizzling rain, the total being one point. Hot sunny weather and a light northeasterly wind prevailed on 'both days in Dunedin.
