YOUNG AUSTRALIANS
THE WELLINGTON VISIT
Highly successful concerts were given bi"^ members of the Young Australia League's Band on Saturday afternoon and evening in the Town Hall, the programme being practically the same as that of. the opening night. There was a particularly large audience on Saturday evening. The talent of the toys was • much appreciated, all the items being warmly applauded. Speeches were made by Mr. H. B. Burdekin, secretary of the local committee, and Mr. J. S. T. McGowen, the adult officer in charge-of the band. It was announced that many requests had been received for return visits from, the band. The probable dates of the return visit to Wellington would be 14th, 15th, and 16th February, and the band would leave on 23rd February for Australia from Auckland, instead of from Wellington, as previously, arranged. This morning the boys were taken on a sight-seeing tour round the city, and they will leave by the Arahura at 7.30 this evening for Nelson.
