T^HE Extraordinary General Meeting of -*- Shareholders held on 15th December was- adjourned until Ist February so that the Directors and the Shareholders' Committee of Investigation and Counsel could confer and report to that meeting. That conference has not yet taken place pending the return of Counsel to Christchurch, but it -will take place and the results will be reported to Shareholders. Until those results are known I do not propose to ask shareholders to commit themselves to giving proxies covering the election of Directors at the next Annual Geheral Meeting about the end o£ February, and I would recommend- shareholders not 'to give any such proxies until the information mentioned above; together with the Balauce-sheet' and Directors' Report for the year, are in their hands, probably about the middle of February.
