FLIGHTS AT NEW PLYMOUTH

Sir Charles Kingsford Smith is exceedingly pleased at the number of people who wanted flights in the Southern Cross at New Plymouth yesterday. He had a record day, taking up between three and four hundred people. Sir Charles has never taken a greater number of people aloft in any one day in Australia. The Wellington Aero Club's Waco aeroplane, piloted by Plight-Lieutenant G. B. Bolt, had to deal with the overflow, and took 140 passengers aloft.
