FIFTH ROUND RINKS

'A SCORCHING DAY

The second week of the Dominion bowling tournament was opened to-day with the fifth round of the rinks championship. The weather was perfect, and the day was probably the hottest! yet experienced. : The date of the pairs semi-finals has not yet-been fixed, but it may be Wednesday. This afternoon a rinks match, North v. South executives, will be played, the teams for which are:—South Island: A. King (Christehurch), H. B. Oakey (Christchurch), W. Connor (Dunedin), and H. Rowley (Dunedin). North Island: E. G. Mayer (Wellington), S. H. Stone (Seatoun), M. J. Hodgins (Hutt), and J. Kershaw '(Hataitai).
