MOTUROA OIL FIELDS.
The following report for the week ended 13th January has been received to-day from New Plymouth:—"Moturoa No. 3 well drilled to 1700 feet. Eight in-h casing inserted to 1600 feet. Formation sand, mudstone, and hard bands of sandstone. No. 2 well: Oil screens have been removed and about 50 feet of sludge has been cleared out." i '
