Although, the cyclone still remains centred west of the Kcrmadec Islands, It appears to have been gradually losing Intensity. At the same time an anticyclone located' east "of the Dominion has intensified since last night, and pressure has also been rising in the Tasman Sea. Further scattered rain- has accompanied the fresh south-east winds which have prevailed in the Auckland peninsula and the East Cape and Gisborne districts, some heavy falls having occurred in the latter areas, TiMtiki, for instance, having 214 point 3 duringthe past 24 hours. Over the remainder the Dominion the weather has been fair to fine with moderate and variable winds, northerlies rulUir yesterday,- but southerlies prevailing this morning at a number, of places..
