MONOWAI'S RECORD TRIP

AUCKLAND, This, Day. ■ •'• The Union Company's steamer Monowai, which reached Auckland at 6.30 p.m. yesterday, broke her own record for the voyage from Sydney to Auckland.. Her time was 71J hours. On the second day out she logged over 420 miles. She was pressed by a beam wind during most of the trip. '
