RELIEF' WORKER FINED

'When a; plea of guilty'was entered tin. behalf of Herbert Rodin, who was charged at the-Magistrate's Court today with making a false, statement with the object of misleading an officer engaged, in the administration of the ■Unemployment Act, Mr. P. H. Kinsman; :who prosecuted, said that the defendant's action had been deliberate and persistent. 1 The' defendant, saia Mr, Kinsman, had. signed an application.for employment on 17th June and. had represented that he had a wife and three children wholly dependent upon him. On this representation he was given four days' work a week. He .worked for five weeks and obtained £9 10s.
