REMAND GRANTED
ATTEMPTED MURDER
CHARGE

DUNEDIN, This Day.
In the Magistrate's Court to-day, Thomas Poison, was charged, with attempting to murder Ruth Eleanor Corlet on 14th November, .and also with attempting to commit suicide on the same date. He was remanded till 9th December. '
The police stated "-that the girl is still seriously ill in hospital. Miss Corlet, who is 19 years of age, sustained a broken left arm and scalp wounds when, it is alleged, she was attacked by Poison with a hammer in her room at a boarding-house. Polson was later admitted to hospital with a wound ia-the throat.
