Asked whether he could-1 make a statement as to the relations existing between the British Government arid the present Government of Egypt and whether the latter is one with which, these relations may be developed in the direction of a settlement of outstanding questions, the Foreign Under-Sec-retary, Mr. Eden, in the House of Commons to-day stated that he was happy to say that th? relations with the Egyptian Government were entirely friendly. The British Government ma.de no reservations in regarding tho present Egyptian Administration as one with which Anglo-Egyptian relations both have been and may continue to be developed at a time and in a manner which appeared most suitable for the purpose. '
