BROKEN BYLAWS

— ♦ \ Offenders against the bylaws were dealt with at the Magistrate's Court yesterday afternoon by JMr. W. H. Woodward, S.JI. Joe Hoe and Robert Virtue were each fined 10s for breaches of the parking regulations. For failing to have pig^swill containers covered, Arthur Corn-well was fined £3. William Darragh ■ was convicted and ordered to pay 10s costs for allowing stock to wander. William Howan was convicted and discharged for a similar offence. Failure to obtain a motor omnibus driver's licence cost Harry Eastwood iOs. For allowing cattle to wander on unfenced land, Osmond Disley was convicted and ordered to pay costs. Joseph Gr. Mason was fined 10s for overtaking a vehicle at an intersection. Narai Ranji was fined £1 for using unlicensed premises for the storage of fruit and vegetables. For using an unregistered eating house Ivan Taly was convicted an,d ordered to pay costs. John Wallace was convicted and ordered to pay 10s costs for failing to obtain a taxi driver's licence. Fines of 10s in each case were imposed on Leonard Wallace and Francis Wisnesky for speeding. A. S. Paterson and Co. and the C. and A.- Odlin Timber and Hardware Co. were each fined £2 for overloading motorlorries. Francis B. Drury was fined 30s and John Moore was convicted and ordered to pay 10s costs for similar, offences. William H. Incledon and Maurice Brandon were each convicted and discharged.
