WEDDING

■■•■■-' CURTIS—EVANS. The wedding took place recently of Eileen, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Evans, Palmerston North, and Jack, youngest son of Mrs. M. Curtis, and the--late 'Mr. S. W. Curtis;''Wellington. The ceremony was solemnised at All Saints' Church, the Eov. E. Hyde officiating. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a long graceful frock of white georgette, fully flared, with lace yoke, tight-fit-ting sleeves, and georgette mittens. Her veil (lent by her cousin, Mrs. Lineen, Auckland) was of Honiton lace and tulle, and was worn well back on the head and arranged with' orange blossom. It formed a long richly-bro-caded train. She carried a, sheaf of white arum lilies. She was attended by her cousin, Miss Mavis Hartley (Petone), who wore: a frock--if delphinium blue georgette with' long flared skirt, smocked waist and berthe collar. A largo black picture hat and long black mittens completed her toilette, and she- carried a sheaf of pink gerbcra daisies. Air. Frank Evans (brother of the bride) was best man.. On leaving the church, the bride was pre-! sonted with a decorated silver horseshoe by her small cousin, Betty Evans (Petone). A reception ' was held in the Oddfellows' Hall, which was decorated in white and blue to match the bridal frocks. The bride's mother wore a frock of royal blue marocain,; with hat to match, and carried a posy of cornflowers. The bridegroom's- mother was in a frock of floral georgette, with hat to tone, and she • carried a posy of anemones. The bride later travelled in a, frock of brown silk Diarocain with hat to match. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis's future home will be at Kilbirnie.
