A declaration ~by the Free State Minister, Mr. Scan Lemass, in a, speech at Lougtirea, to the effect that Cabinet wanted to settle- the Anglo-Irish dispute but would not be bullied into it, w^as made at the same time as the exMinister, Mr,. Fitzgerald, announced the decision of the Cosgrave Party to exert pressure to force Mr. de Valera to end the economic war with England.
