Tho Government yesterday sol d £48,----000,000 worth of three month Treasury bills. Tho rate of interest is ;SOs per cent, per annum, compared with 712s i 1 per cent, a year ago. This is the. lowest rato ever recorded.
Cheap borrowings have already, slaved the Government £11,000,000 mi the present financial year.
