, Police armed with pistols and clubs were turned back by 500 strikers when they attempted to escort 23 truck-loads of stock through the lines of'strike pickets. . .
The strike was begun to hold up supplies of produce to certain lowa cities . so as to secure for the producers a fair ' return for their labour, the contention being that the cxisfting prices did not yield, even their coats of production.
